Principles of Information Technology

In this class students develop computer literacy skills to adapt to emerging technologies used in the global marketplace. Students will also implement personal and interpersonal skills to prepare for a rapidly evolving workplace environment. PIT will allow students to enhance reading, writing, computing, communication, and reasoning skills and apply them to the information technology environment.

A full credit for Principles of Information Technology will count as a technology credit or elective credit.  Both PIT A and PIT B are required for the full credit.  The courses may be taken either in order where PIT A is completed before PIT B or where PIT B is completed before PIT A.  During the summer PIT A and PIT B may be taken at the same time.  Considerations will be made to help students complete the entire course during the 7 week summer.
