United States History A

In this course, students study the history of the United States from 1877 to 1929.  Using critical thinking and technology skills students will investigate the events, people, places and issues that helped build modern America. The course is divided into five units: The Gilded Age, Progressive Era, Imperialism, World War I and the 1920s. Integrated into the course are components to help students prepare for the Exit Level Social Studies TAKS exam (a requirement to graduate in the states of Texas).  This course, in addition to United States History B satisfies the United States History graduation requirement.
